Sales, Groups, and Tourism Manager

The Sales, Groups, and Tourism Manager oversees group sales, ticketing partners, and tourism outreach to generate revenue for our live entertainment and attraction clients. They will increase client revenue through proactive management of relationships and sales strategies, looking beyond the usual tactics to create “Broadway First” opportunities that generate both valuable impressions and increased spikes in sales at the most opportune times. The Sales, Groups, and Tourism Manager will secure new revenue streams for clients, building and maintaining a database of NEW ticketing coops and initiatives that clients across the AKA roster can benefit from either separately or together as needed. Reporting to the Senior Director of Earned Media & Partnerships, the Sales, Groups, and Tourism Manager is a full-time exempt position that is based in New York City. 


Ticketing and Pricing Strategy

  • Monitors customer buying trends, market conditions and competitor actions to adjust strategies and achieve sales goals
  • Sets and deploy pricing strategies, inclusive of promotional offers and “flash sales” as necessary
  • Turns insights into immediate sales

Sales Channels/Ticketing Partners

  • Maintains active sales contacts with assigned accounts to keep communication open and capture consistent revenue 
  • Sets up contracts, negotiates rates and determines service terms for ticketing channel partners
  • Employs ticketing initiatives managed by third-party sales channels inclusive, but not limited to: Goldstar, Broadway Roulette, PLUM Benefits and Audience Rewards in addition to industry specific and seasonal solutions such as Broadway Week and Kids Night on Broadway. 
  • Integrates trackable sales methods within partner activity, properly prices (and sell) “add-on experiences” or “gift with purchase” activity geared toward a certain demographic, and more.
  • Maintains sales messaging online, offline, across multiple channels, on various promotional materials and on the production’s website itself keeping it clear, consistent, and guaranteeing that we are speaking to the right people at the right time and optimizing their path to purchase. 

Trade Shows and Live Events

  • Promotes client shows, experiences, and destinations at trade shows, connecting with prospects and improving market penetration
  • Organizes promotional events and interacts with community to increase sales revenue
  • Organizes cast appearances, creative team talk backs, and other special events
  • Plans client relationship-cultivating events to promote growth, resulting in an expansion of clientele base for MICE Groups 
  • Cultivates on-site sales opportunities across various events

Groups and Tourism Market

  • Manages communications, memos, pricing adjustments and relationships with the groups and FIT/Tourist Market
  • Manages relationships with various group and tourist coops to ensure that they have the proper pricing, messaging and sales tools to best cater to their individual clientele. 
  • Maximizes revenue streams, looking beyond how these channels generally work with their partners to create “Broadway First” opportunities that generate both valuable impressions and increased spikes in sales at the most opportune times. 
  • Secures new revenue streams for clients, building and maintaining a database of NEW ticketing coops and initiatives that clients across the AKA roster can benefit from either separately or together during slower selling times of the year.  



  • 5-7 years professional experience in ticketing, marketing, tourism in NYC for entertainment, cultural or arts clients.
  • A passion for theater and live entertainment, and about spreading the word to sell tickets.
  • Experience and knowledge of Broadway ticketing partners and sales channels
  • Experience at trade shows like SYTA, IPW, and organizations like ABA, NYC&Co, Broadway InBound, and others
  • Some who is as comfortable crunching numbers as they are attending sales trade shows and speaking with partner ticket vendors.
