Agency Business Administrator

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Business Administrator is a full-time position that is based in New York City. Part-time position (approx. 3 days per week) will be considered.
 

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 
Finance 

  • Work with the CEO, CFO, and New Business Team to prepare financial proposals for client projects and for new clients.
  • Analyze P/L statements and establish areas for potential growth.
  • Create and implement new budgeting and billing systems.
  • Review time sheet reports and analyze time spent by client.

Contracts and Client Billing

  • Update, circulate, and negotiate new client contracts
  • Manage client onboarding between client and agency stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and circulate client contract renewals.
  • Negotiate contracts with third party suppliers.
  • Organize and maintain a database for contracts; generate reports on contract statuses
  • Communicate contract terms and client rates to agency stakeholders
  • Liaise with external attorneys on company legal matters.

Production 

  • Work with external counsel to handle production legal, litigation, copyright/trademark, music and image rights/clearance matters
  • Create and implement processes for operational improvement and efficiencies.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: 

  • 2+ years in a business administration or related role (ideally servicing the entertainment industry)
  • A working knowledge of production, talent, music, fonts, contract law and intellectual property rights (as applicable to the Creative industry).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A comfort level with negotiation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • A competitive salary between $55,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience.
